I'm currently working on my own start up and it's a huge/overwhelming project. I'm doing everything on my own and there are so many elements to my start up. Cheryl is someone I follow on twitter and she follows me back. We speak on a occasional basis and she post a lot of insightful information. As I started reading this e-book, which from the title alone spoke to my situation as not having much money to be able to get the things I need for my start up. This e-book felt like it was written just for me. There was one main thing that stood out to me, it was "Tell your story". I sat, looked at that phrase and said wow what is my story? I started to write my story and everything became so clear with the direction I need to go in with my start up. This is something that I've been struggling with as well due to all the elements. Me writing down my story gave me so much clarity, on what my main focus is within the start up.
Cheryl thank you, thank you, thank you. If you are in the start up stages like I am and having problems figuring things out. Read this e-book and I'm sure it will help you as well.

Great article. I would add the following: When raising capital make sure you use the appropriate documents to accurately disclose risks to potential private investors. These documents can be found in template form at Reg D Fast® (http://www.regdfast.com). This site has a wealth of information with regard to Regulation D and private capital raising techniques. Love the idea on creating test sites and programs. I have a new product coming in 2011, think I'll try that strategy.

Also, folks may want to look into surveys. That has helped me a lot in developing my product.
